Recruitment Company & Job Board Results
Question: I am seeing results from recruitment companies and I do not wish to see these results, how can I stop this? Answer: Our public databases are filtered to remove results from recruitment companies, but due to the structure of some recruitment company websites, we cannot always filter out these results. All users have the ability to notify us on a search result if they feel a page or company should not be displayed in the results, see the example screenshot below; !(https://storage.cr
Getting your searches right
Boolean searching is fully integrated with 8LEGS so you can use all the main Boolean operators such as: When running a search try not to be over specific with phrases, as you need to think how an employer would display their job posting on their website. If you are searching for an "Account Manager" don't use a phrase such as "National Account Manager" unless you are specifically looking f
Location radius results
Location radius searching will only work on companies that use one unique zip or post code for their job postings and company address. As an example, if you have an international company displaying multiple jobs on a page that are in multiple different countries then the system is not able to differentiate which countries match which result. You can always exclude countries by excluding the country name in a search string, as an example -USA would exclude pages that had the word USA on them.

Why is the screen blank when viewing some results?
If you click on a search result on the left panel and the website does not appear in the iFrame on the right, this is because the website you are trying to view does not allow 3rd party viewing in an iFrame. To overcome this, just click on 'Open in tab' from the floating menu.
Results from a different country?
Our application groups job pages by country with high accuracy but not 100%. The main reason that 100% cannot be achieved is that the country detection engine prefers to accept uncertain classified job pages rather than to reject them, so we won't miss correct results. Some websites are unfortunately not structured in a way that shows an obvious country location and some job pages display various job postings for different countries, all on the same page. If your results present a job page fro
Uploaded URL time-scales
When you add data to your private database it joins a queue in our crawler and will be available to search against when a number of processes have taken place. The time-scale it takes for an uploaded website to be available to search against depends on various factors such as size of a website, if it has a small amount of pages for our crawler to search through to find a job related page, the process is quicker, if the site has hundreds of pages, the process of crawling will take longer. Private data upload
If you have uploaded data to your private data area, you will see that 'Await' displays whilst we are indexing and scraping the uploaded websites.
